The Little Horse Park area is located alongside Highway 179, about 10 minutes’ drive south of Sedona’s vibrant Uptown. Little Horse Park is a peaceful community surrounded by the area’s dramatic and distinctive red rocks.
 
The neighborhood takes its name from the area of trees and grassland surrounding the Little Horse Trail, which stretches for 3.4 miles through the beautiful local scenery. This charming wildflower-lined trail is suitable for all skill levels and offers a variety of activities. The trail is well-suited for hiking and horseback riding, and also allows for on-leash dog walking. It moves through 400 foot of elevation, from the Bell Rock Pathway to the stunning views of Chicken Point.
 
Also known as the Chapel Area, Little Horse Park is known for the stunning Chapel of the Holy Cross. This dramatic place of worship sits at the end of a winding, rising road in front of one of the red rocks’ most dramatic cliffs. The Chapel must truly be seen to be believed, and the combination of its exquisite understated architecture with the backdrop has made it a must-see for visitors from all over the world.
 
Other religious sites in the area include United Methodist and Lutheran churches, as well as a synagogue operated by the Jewish Community of Sedona and the Verde Valley. As well as being a focal point of the local Jewish community, the synagogue has a policy of welcoming guests of all faiths and fostering a strong sense of neighborliness in Little Horse Park.
